As a member of Nickelodeon’s live stories team, I have had the opportunity to establish myself as a specialist in ephemeral social media. It is an exciting time to be working in in this field, as stories make up for 57% of views for Nickelodeon on the platform. With a focus on Instagram stories, our team is responsible for ideating, capturing, and designing content to live in the stories and live stream homes on our platforms. The work has given me an opportunity to work with talent, cover live events in real time including producing and directing live streams across multiple platforms, and honing my content creation skills.

I was thrilled to expand my experience in digital media by co-writing, producing and hosting the Nickelodeon original web series "Inside Nick." In the show, my co-host Carly Kaplan and I take fans behind the scenes of all things Nick. Equal parts entertaining and informational, the show pulled back the curtain on slime, stars and more. 

The series was Nickelodeon’s very first VDS original series, has accrued over 11 Million views to date, and contributed over 4 hours of content to the digital team’s goals. It was also nominated for multiple awards, and was the winner of the Cynopsis Model D Award for “Best New Web Series,” beating out content from the Ellen show, HGTV, and the Food Network.

As Social Media Manager for Nickelodeon's hit show "The Loud House," I strategized the launch of the production's social media, created & curated all cross-platform content growing an expansive organic following, provided live social coverage of events, including coordinating the use of voice talent in social activations. I  was also in charge of facilitating show related content for the Nickelodeon and Nick Animation accounts. 

On a larger scale, I created multiple campaigns including: producing a real-time Facebook Live with animated characters, direct user engagement between characters and Instagram followers, and a choose-your-own adventure Instagram comic book.

Also in charge of community management, I managed creative strategy, messaging, calendar, and community engagement for the show's platforms including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr.

In collaboration with the Nickelodeon brand team, I've been in charge of Nickelodeon social platforms during live initiatives, including the Nickelodeon Twitter during the 2016 Kids Choice Awards & 2018 Kids Choice Sports Awards, the Nickelodeon Instagram for the event in 2017 & 2018, and covering Instagram Stories and Snapchat for both events in 2019.

This included collaborating with talent, working with. photographers, monitoring live interactions, tracking key influencer engagement, staying on top of in the moment trends, & ensuring sponsorship deliverables with show partners. 

During my time as Social Media Coordinator for the Nickelodeon series "Harvey Beaks," I established the role as the studio's first embedded social coordinator, working directly with production to develop organic and unique digital content for fans, spearheading creative strategy for all cross-platform content, and growing audience through community management.

During this time, I devised, filmed, edited and produced video content for the Nick Animation and Nickelodeon brand YouTube, Instagram & Vine accounts focused on driving viewership to premiere episodes and building a broader audience for the show.

For the 2016 & 2017 San Diego Comic Conventions, I teamed up with Nickelodeon & Nick Animation to cover events and activations. This entailed live tweeting, blogging, streaming and posting from panels, signings, press conferences, and other SDCC activations. I took over the Nick Animation Instagram Stories, as well as the Nickelodeon brand Snapchat account, collaborating with talent & marketing to give followers an inside experience. I also controlled all coverage for "The Loud House" and assisted with other property coverage such as "Hey Arnold: The Jungle Movie" and more. 

From 2012 - 2015 I produced a blog, Tarreyn Land, filled with personal, entertainment and political essays, multiple web videos, DIY's, weekly playlists, and more. Multiple pieces from it were featured on Hello Giggles, Buzzfeed Community, and the blog as a whole was featured by several lifestyle blogs. It received a Liebster award and had sponsored collaborations with ModCloth, Casetify, and Warby Parker, among others.
